Last April 13, 2025, Sunday, the Filipinos for Nature Inc. joined the “Takbo Babae 2025” event held at the UP Diliman Academic Oval. This meaningful gathering brought together advocacy groups, running communities, and supporters of women’s rights in a collective celebration of empowerment, health, and solidarity.
While we did not have a formal role in the program, our presence was rooted in support—for the cause, for the community, and for the ongoing movement for gender justice. Wearing purple to honor the spirit of the event, we ran alongside hundreds of others in a shared call for a safer, fairer, and more compassionate world for women and all marginalized sectors.
Our participation also gave us the opportunity to listen, learn, and connect with others in the advocacy space. It was a reminder that showing up—even quietly—is part of the work. We left feeling recharged and hopeful, grateful to have been part of an event that aligned with our values as an organization working at the intersection of environmental and social justice.
We thank the organizers of Takbo Babae 2025 and look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future—whether through presence, partnership, or action.
