Last May 4, 2025, the FFN team joined the vibrant community at Takbang: Takbo, Tindig, Tabang, an advocacy run and solidarity summit organized by Talitha Cumi, the official scholars’ organization of Miriam College. Held on the Miriam College campus in Quezon City, the event aimed to support the healing and empowerment of young girls who have experienced abuse and neglect on the streets of Metro Manila. Proceeds from the run were directed to Tahanan Sta. Luisa, a crisis intervention center providing shelter, therapy, and education to these resilient young women.

The name “Takbang” encapsulates three powerful Filipino words:
- Takbo (to run): Symbolizing action and the refusal to remain passive in the face of injustice.
- Tindig (to stand): Representing a steadfast commitment to presence and resolve.
- Tabang (to help): Emphasizing collective action and care.

Participating in Takbang 2025 was more than a physical endeavor; it was a manifestation of solidarity and a reaffirmation of our commitment to environmental and social justice. The event brought together advocates, students, and community members, all united in the pursuit of a more equitable and compassionate society.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Talitha Cumi for organizing this impactful event and to all the participants who ran with purpose. Your energy and dedication inspire us to continue our work in environmental advocacy and community empowerment.

Stay connected with FFN for upcoming events and initiatives. Together, we can make strides toward a more just and sustainable future.
