Filipinos for Nature Inc. proudly participated in the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Training conducted by the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QC DRRMO) held last May 4–7, 2026 at Hive Hotel and Convention Place, Quezon City.
The four-day training gathered representatives from various organizations, agencies, and sectors to strengthen disaster preparedness, emergency response, and post-disaster assessment capabilities. The participant representing Filipinos for Nature Inc. joined the initiative to enhance coordination and response during disasters and emergencies.

The RDANA training equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in conducting rapid assessment of affected communities after calamities such as typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and other emergencies. Discussions included damage assessment procedures, data gathering, needs analysis, reporting systems, and inter-agency coordination to ensure timely and effective humanitarian response.
One of the highlights of the training was the field visit simulation, where participants were deployed to simulated disaster-affected areas to perform rapid damage assessment procedures. The activity involved on-site inspections, information gathering, identification of urgent community needs, and preparation of situational reports based on emergency scenarios.

The simulation provided valuable hands-on experience and strengthened teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills essential in real-life disaster response operations.
